6 ~. z: Y$ Y' U8 n- S2 u8 ]$ ?2 TUnder a new agreement, subsea products and services firm Forum Energy Technologies will provide global sales, distribution and support of Olis Robotics' remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) controllers for the offshore energy market, the mobile and remote robotics software company said.
[6 U) x& g6 R; F% QThe Olis Master Controller (OMC) provides both remote and local ROV operation in a user-friendly configuration that increases task efficiencies, according to its manufacturer.2 }% r6 U8 w4 s/ R
Equipped with the Olis Core Operating System that is designed to incorporate machine perception and machine learning capabilities, the OMC is designed to decrease training needs and minimizing pilot burden.
+ N0 h. w6 k( nThe technology has beeen put to use by customers operating subsea vehicles in the North Sea and has been tested in the Gulf of Mexico and off the Brazilian coast.

Olis Robotics launched sales of the OMC in the third quarter of 2019. A Digital Workspace application for the OMC’s CoreOS is projected for release in the first quarter of 2020. The new application enables machine perception to produce a live 3D work environment and supports machine-learning capability integration.
